| The Challenger Seafloor Sample Collection remains a unique and active research archive of samples and forms part of a much larger Ocean Bottom Deposits Collection held at the Natural History Museum in London. This collection consists of samples from some 40,000 world-wide localities and is the most comprehensive British Collection of sea-bed samples and cores.
A collaborative initiative with the Natural History Museum is is currently working on adding the Ocean Bottom Deposits Collection to the Southampton Oceanography Centre's BOSCORF database of seafloor samples.
